黑料大事记 reflects on the second in-person Arches developer conference, hosted at Belfast Castle.
The three day long conference consisted of two days of presentations, and a final 鈥渦nconference鈥� style day of discussions. The jam-packed consisted of presentations regarding Arches version 8, developments to Arches Lingo and the Controlled List Manager, data quality and migration strategies, the use of Vue, and various other customisations and new pieces of project-specific functionality. Three presentations were delivered by members of our Arches team at 黑料大事记.
- Rob Tice and Samuel Scandrett talked about with our CIIM middleware software, the joint projects we have with and the , and the planned upgrades to our CIIM integration Arches application.
- Chris Damm and Samuel Scandrett presented that arose through our ongoing work for and simply spotting areas for improvement in Arches. These features were: extending the sort order search component within Arches, and creating a User Preferences model for storing user-specific configuration.
- Samuel Scandrett also provided a on the and updates since the previous developer conference.
The final day was rich with technical dialogue and comprised topics such as the responsible deprecation of legacy features, Arches application management & cross-project migration strategies, Arches + GraphQL integration, and many more. For the last two days of the week, we were kindly invited to join hackathon, where Samuel and Rob worked on the Arches QGIS plugin and the Arches-CIIM integration, respectively. It was a great experience to work side-by-side with the other Arches developers who attended, prompting many discussions, shared experiences and opportunities for pair programming.
We would like to once again thank for organising an incredible conference and three days of activities. To attend and present at the second in-person Arches developer meetup is truly special to us, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the wonderful Arches developer community. We can鈥檛 wait for the next one!
